Lebanon beat Danville 9 to 1 in conference action on Tuesday night in Memorial Park. Sophomore Garrett Harker was the complete game winner, evening his record at 3 and 3 on the year. In the seven innings, he allowed the one earned run on just two hits, a walk, and a hit batter. He sat down nine Warriors on strikes. Tyler Slack started and was the loser for Danville. He went four innings giving up six (one earned) on seven hits and a walk. Kaden Whitehead pitched the final two with three runs on three hits.

The Tigers outhit the visitors ten to two and capitalized on four Warrior errors. Junior Michael Reese had a double and a single knocking in two. Senior Michael O’Connor also had a pair of hits and RBI’s. Harker also had two hits from the leadoff spot and an RBI. Junior Drew Cosgray reached base twice, scoring each time. Sophomore Matthew Coddington put his bunting skills to good use in the win. In the 2nd he executed the suicide squeeze to perfection, driving in senior Jonathan Moore. Then in the 4th, again sacrificing, he placed the bunt precisely between the pitcher and third baseman for a single. With another sac bunt in the 6th he was a perfect three for three on his bunt attempts.

The win pushed Lebanon a game over 500 at 9 and 8. In Sagamore Conference play they stand at 6 and 3. They will travel to Danville on Thursday for the re-match. A reminder that the Tigers will host Tri-West on Friday evening in the Park, a make-up game from earlier in the season.
