Lebanon Tigers Clinches Lead In Eighth Inning To Defeat Lawrence Central
Lebanon Tigers nabbed the lead late in the game in a 6-4 victory over Lawrence Central in the first game on Saturday. The game was tied at four with Lebanon Tigers batting in the top of the eighth when Sarah Tribby singled on a 2-1 count, scoring one run scoring Lexi Puckett.
In the first inning, Lawrence Central got their offense started. Anderson drove in two when she doubled.
Lawrence Central evened things up at four in the bottom of the seventh inning when an error scored one run for Lawrence Central.
Abigail McPherson got the win for Tigers. She surrendered four runs on ten hits over eight innings, striking out 14 and walking zero.
Lebanon saw the ball well today, racking up 12 hits in the game. Josie Hollingsworth, Courtney Welborn, and Jenna Weaver each collected multiple hits for the Tigers. Hollingsworth led Lebanon with three hits in four at bats.
Lawrence Central totaled ten hits. L Allen, J Carroll, and H Ragonesi all collected multiple hits for Lawrence Central.
