Two Pitchers Rally Together In No-Hitter As Tigers Defeats North Montgomery
Tigers’s two pitchers didn’t allow a single hit, as Tigers defeated North Montgomery 10-0 on Friday. Josie Hollingsworth induced a groundout from #1 to get the last out of the game.
In the first inning, Tigers got their offense started when Courtney Welborn singled on a 2-0 count, scoring one run.
Tigers put up four runs in the second inning. Abbi Wirey, Payten Redman, Payge Redman, and Welborn all drove in runs in the frame.
Welborn pitched Tigers to victory. She surrendered zero runs on zero hits over four innings, striking out five. Hollingsworth threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen.
Tigers totaled 12 hits. Wirey and Redman each racked up multiple hits for Tigers. Wirey went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead Tigers in hits. Tigers was sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error. Tori Harker had the most chances in the field with five.
