BRUINS AND RAIN DAMPEN SENIOR NIGHT
On a rainy evening in Memorial Park, Tri-West put up 9 runs in the 6th after Lebanon had just taken a two run lead and won 15 to 8 in an abbreviated 6 inning game. The big blow was Derek Wagner’s grand slam. Tiger Senior Tyler Welborn ended up taking the loss. He came on in relief to get the final two outs and gave up 8 runs (only 2 earned) on 3 hits, a pair of walks, and a hit batter.
Senior Ben Johnson was the Tiger starter but fared better at the plate, going 3 for 3 with a double and 2 RBI. Freshman Garrett Harker had a pair of singles and knocked in three.
Prior to the game Coach Rick Cosgray, Athletic Director Phil Levine, and Principle Kevin O’Rourke greeted and congratulated Tiger Seniors Nick Bland, Kobe Burtron, Nick Dafoe, Johnson, Haydn Parker, Welborn, and their families. The loss dropped the Black and Gold to 10 and 14 on the season and they finished the conference at 6 and 8.
