WELBORN GOES DEEP BUT TIGERS FALL TO PIONEERS

Lebanon traveled to Mooresville Friday evening and lost 5 to 1. Sophomore Michael Reese went the distance for the Tigers giving up the five runs (only two earned) on 7 hits and a walk. He struck out five. Andrew Neff was the complete game winner. He gave up one earned on 5 hits that included Senior Tyler Welborn’s third home run of the year. He didn’t walk a batter and struck out ten.

The loss drops LHS to 8 and 9 on the year, 5 and 4 in conference. The Tigers travelled to Charlestown on Saturday for a four-team tourney but were rained out. Tonight they take on the Greenfield Central Cougars at 6:00 in Memorial Park and on Tuesday they are in Danville for a conference game.
