WARRIORS COME BACK TO BEAT TIGERS
Danville overcame an early 3-run deficit to beat Lebanon 5 to 3 Tuesday evening on their home field. The Tigers scored an unearned run in the 2nd and two more in the 3rd. The Warriors answered with three to tie in the 4th and added the two deciding runs in the 6th.
Senior Tyler Welborn started for LHS and was the loser. He went five and a third innings giving up the 5 earned runs on 7 hits, a pair of walks, and a hit batter. He struck out 5. Jackson Wynn was the complete game winner. In his seven innings he allowed the three unearned runs on four hits. He walked none and struck out 9. Isaac MacGregor led the way for Danville at the plate. He had a pair of hits and RBI. Junior Ryan Nastav had a pair of singles for the Tigers, driving in one.
The loss drops Lebanon to 8 and 11 on the season and even their conference record at 5 up and 5 down. They will take on the Warriors again on Thursday at 6:00 in Memorial Park.
