Lebaon Welcome New Boys Golf

By Phil Levine | Dec 20, 2024 8:11 AM

Lebanon would like to welcome Tony Jacklin as new Head Coach for the LHS Boys Golf Team. In addition, Assistant Boys Coach Jarred Miller, who also assisted with the Girls Golf program this past Fall season will be remaining as the Assistant Boys Golf Coach. Coach Jacklin is highly knowledgeable about the game of golf and has a strong foundation in teaching the fundamentals, including swing mechanics, grip, stance, posture, and alignment. He is also well-versed in course management and demonstrates excellent organizational skills. His positive leadership and ability to foster teamwork will be invaluable as he works to grow and strengthen the program. Coach Jacklin has extensive coaching experience, particularly with student-athletes. This past fall, he coached the LHS Girls Golf Team and did an outstanding job. Despite having a smaller roster, he showed dedication to developing the players, and both the athletes and their families appreciated his coaching style, decision-making, and leadership. They all are eager to return for another season under his guidance. In addition to his work with LHS Girls Golf, Coach Jacklin has coached soccer at various levels and has assisted with golf teams at North Central High School for five years. He has also contributed to the Indiana Amateur Golf Championship qualifiers. A former competitor in the State Amateur Golf Tournament, Coach Jacklin played with a 2.3 handicap before stepping back from competitive play, and now maintains a handicap around 6. His passion for golf is evident in everything he does. Currently, Coach Jacklin teaches Special Education at LHS and resides in Zionsville. I look forward to continuing working with Coach Jacklin. Sincerely, Phil Levine, CAA Lebanon Athletic Director
