Last night the Lebanon JV and Varsity basketball teams traveled to Sheridan for the season opener. The varsity team lost by a score of 53-30. The Tigers battled hard trailing by 7 points at the half, but ultimately couldn’t overcome a tough third quarter by the Blackhawks. Leading the way for the Tigers in scoring were Sophomore, Ali Bir, with 8 points and Freshman, Averee Maciel, with 6 points. The JV team defeated Sheridan by a score of 34-2 in one half of basketball. Due to injuries, the Tigers and Blackhawks were only able to play one half. Leading the way for the JV team was Heaven Tunstill with 10 points. Both the JV and Varsity are back in action this Saturday at home against McCutcheon.
