The XC season has officially come to an end with an outstanding race by Penny Lamerson! Penny toed the line with 248 top runners in the State yesterday, and she finished the day placing 92nd with a time of 19:14.96! Penny is only the 2nd runner at LHS to advance to the IHSAA State meet and she did an outstanding job representing LHS!! We want to thank everyone for all the support Penny received last week leading up to the race. If you haven’t seen the video of what Tracey Hammel/Harney Elementary put together, you should take the time to watch. Thank you to the Lebanon and Boone County First Responders and all the supporters that braved a chilly morning to send her off and then drove to Terre Haute to cheer her on. Big shout out to the swim team for stopping practice to come stand outside in the cold for the sendoff!
