Congrats LHS Lady Tigers Cross Country Team Conference Champions

LHS Tigers Cross Country teams competed in the Sagamore Conference on a tough course hosted by Southmont. Congratulations to the Lady Tigers Conference Champs!!! The Varsity Lady Tigers started off the day with strong performances to win the Title for the third year in a row with 41 points!! Danville 2nd (69 pts); Webo 3rd (102 pts); Crawfordsville 4th (113 pts); Frankfort 5th (116 pts); Tri-West 6th (117 pts); North Montgomery 7th (149 pts); Southmont 8th (209 pts). We had four finish in the top 12 to make 1st Team All-Conference with Penny Lamerson leading the pack in 2nd, Sophie Kyker 3rd, Claire Larson with a PR run time of 22:39 in 8th, and Abbi Riggs in 10th. Also running on Varsity placing 13th – 24th to make 2nd Team All-Conference was Haley Tiefel in 18th, Izzy Metheny 20th and rounding out the top 7 was Averee Maciel in 22nd. The Varsity boys’ were up next and finished 3rd with 82 points behind strong teams of Crawfordsville taking 1st with 69 points and Danville 2nd with 72 points. Frankfort 4th (103 pts); Southmont 5th (125 pts); North Montgomery 6th (126 pts); Webo 7th (184 pts); Tri-West 8th (184 pts). The boys’ team finished with two in the top 12 to be 1st team All-Conference with lead runner William Meyer in 6th and Tyler Meyer right behind in 7th. We also had two finish 2nd Team All-Conference – Isaac Harvey in 19th running a good race to take the last spot for 2nd team was Levi Pittman in 24th. Also running in the Varsity race was Jesse Acton 26th and Brynner Sloan in 38th. We also had some great performances in the combined reserve race. Taking the lead early to win the overall race was Jovani Suarez with a time of 19:57! Also running for the boys’ team was Joel Salinas in 11th. The girls reserve race had 12 runners and the Lady Tigers took the first 7 places! Soteria Udu was the overall winner with a time of 24:41, followed by Amellia Spencer 2nd; Marli McConnell 3rd; Hayleigh Coyle 4th; Hadley Warren 5th; Leah Ziats 6th; Abbie Guilliams in 7th.
