The Tigers XC teams competed in the Rick Weinheimer Classic hosted by Columbus North on Saturday. This meet had 48 teams to start the Invite but was scored out by two divisions A and AA. The Tigers were scored in the AA division. The Lady Tigers team finished 13th out of 21 teams, and the boys team finished 18th out of 22 teams. The Lady Tigers had 192 runners in the AA Division and leading with a top 20 medal finish was Penny Lamerson in 16th with a new personal record (PR) in a time of 19:10, followed by Sophie Kyker placing 62nd with a season best (SB) time of 20:58. Next we had Abbi Riggs in 98th (PR 21:55); Claire Larson 121st (PR 22:46); Izzy Metheny 132nd (PR 23:03); Haley Tiefel 134th (PR 23:08); Averee Maciel 144th (PR 23:33); Soteria Udu 146th (PR 23:51); and Leah Ziats 162nd (PR 24:43). The girls' team had a complete team to score in the reserve race, placing 7th for the day. Leading was Hayleigh Coyle in 60th (PR 24:25); Charlotte Kleindl 68th (SB 25:07); Amellia Spencer 72nd (PR 25:19); Marli McConnell 77th (PR 25:38); Hadley Warren 81st (SB 26:03); and Abbie Guilliams 96th (PR 27:20). The boys’ AA race had 201 runners competing and the Tigers were led by William Meyer in 77th with a PR time of 16:58; Tyler Meyer 77th (PR 17:07); Levi Pittman 136th (PR 18:41); Isaac Harvey 142nd (SB 18:50); Brynner Sloan 149th (PR 19:06); Jesse Acton 150th (PR 19:10); Jovani Suarez 151st (PR 19:10); Philip Kiper 156th (PR 19:24); Joel Salinas 194th (PR 22:48). The Tigers will travel to North Montgomery on Thursday to compete in the Charger Classic.
