Outstanding performances at the Lafayette Jeff Regional by our Boys Track & Field Regional Qualifiers, finishing in 9th place overall. Three school records were broken, Congratulations! Daniel Richards broke a 43-year-old school record in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 14.20. The previous record of 14.38 was held by Steve Wallace. Daniel Richards also lowered his own school record in the 300-meter hurdles with a time of 37.92. Cisco Luyindula broke the school record in the 200-meter dash with a time of 21.71. The previous record of 21.92 was held by Trey Reis. Congratulations to the following athletes who will be advancing to the State Meet: (Advancement to State - placing in top 3 in each event or if you hit the State Standard mark) Daniel Richards — Placed 3rd in both the 110-meter hurdles and 300-meter hurdles to qualify for the State Meet in both events. Cisco Luyindula — Placed 2nd in the 200-meter dash and 5th in the 100-meter dash, while also hitting the state qualifying standard with a time of 10.93 to qualify in both events. 4x100 Relay Team — Niko Trepcos, Xavies Jackson, Tannon Monden, and Cisco Luyindula (alternates: Cayden Gates and Kaylob Akin) placed 3rd with a time of 42.00 to earn a spot at the State Meet. Other outstanding performances: Field Events: Niko Trepcos — Pole Vault, Placed 14th Tannon Monden — High Jump, Placed 8th The State Meet will be held on Saturday, June 6th, at North Central High School. Trials will begin at 5:00 p.m.
