Spring Break Reminder and Message from the LHS AD

Spring Break Message from the AD: Unfortunately, for a variety of reasons, peer pressure, curiosity, or the desire to try something new, student-athletes may feel tempted to make choices that don’t reflect our program’s expectations. Spring Break, in particular, can present increased temptations. This serves as a reminder that all student-athletes have committed, through the LHS Athletic Handbook, to abstain from the use of tobacco, alcohol, and illegal drugs. It is important to understand that this expectation applies at all times, regardless of whether it is in-season or out-of-season, or whether a student is traveling out of state. Being away from school or outside of our immediate jurisdiction does not exempt anyone from the policies outlined in the handbook. Please feel free to share this with your student-athlete as a reminder while traveling. Additionally, please be aware that inappropriate behavior, whether shared through photos, text messages, or social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, or Snapchat, often makes its way back to our coaches and administration. Incidents involving minors, even out of state, also tend to become known within our community. We hope all of our student-athletes enjoy a well deserved and relaxing Spring Break. Please make good decisions, stay safe, and return home violation free. Have a great break. TIGER PRIDE! Sincerely, Phil Levine, CAA
