Tigers News · LHS Welcomes New Head Wrestling Coach Jacob King

Lebanon would like to welcome new Head Wrestling Coach Jacob King to the Tiger Family.  On Tuesday evening, June 19th, the Lebanon School Board approved the hiring of Coach King.  LHS Athletic Director Phil Levine is excited to have Coach King on board as a member of the LHS Tiger coaching family and is looking forward to working with him in the upcoming school year.

Jacob King was a competitive wrestler in high school and at the club level.  He has continued to be involved with the sport of wrestling by coaching, attending clinics, and overseeing the Lebanon Wrestling Club.  He has been an assistant coach at the high school and middle school over the last few years and is extremely dedicated and committed to all LCSC Wrestling programs.  In addition, Jacob has been very supportive of all Lebanon student-athletes.  Jacob is a Sheridan High School graduate who attended Indiana State University before deciding to change career paths and become a Whitestown Police Patrol Sergeant.   Currently, his wife Whitney, who is a former Lebanon student-athlete, holds the position as President of the Lebanon Wrestling Club.  Jacob possesses a vision that includes his involvement with the club to help the LMS and High School Wrestling programs grow and be successful.  Jacob will continue to follow the many established traditions, which have resulted in past success, but he also has a tremendous amount of enthusiasm for implementing new ideas to create positive change for the future.
