The Tigers Cross Country teams competed in the Clinton Central XC Invite on Saturday against Clinton Central, Clinton Prairie, Peru, Rossville, and Tri-West. The boys’ team had 43 points for the morning to take 1st place! The weather conditions for this meet were the hottest the Tigers have had to run in all season. Leading the race for the boys’ team was the senior duo of Alex Brummett finishing 1st with a time of 17:14 and Robby Muse-Myers placing 2nd in 17: 21. Camren Toole followed in 9th with a season best in 18:53. Also finishing in the top 20 was Zachary West placing 15th (PR 19:16), Hunter Smith was 16th, and Rafe Crow finished 17th. Rounding out the top 7 was Aaron Gommel in 21st. Also running for the boys’ team: Brady Hines, David Bradley, Cade Ping, John Stillwell (PR 22:53), Phillip Betts, Mason McWaters (PR 25:05), Kade Cooper (PR 27:34), and Noah West. In the girls’ race, the Lady Tigers took 4th place out of 5 complete teams. Emerson Haines was the top finisher with a 3rd place finish in a time of 21:57. Followed by Katie Hasty in 7th place. Rounding out the scoring for the team was Riley Holland in 23rd, Kate Stanley placed 24th, and Jessica Fischer finished 26th.
The XC team will prepare this week to run at the Sagamore Conference at Southmont this Saturday.
