The Tigers XC teams competed Saturday in the Riverview Health Flashrock Invitational at Northview Church in Carmel. This meet had over 35 schools competing in different races – a Championship division with several state ranked boys’ & girls’ teams and an Invitational division. The Tigers competed in the Invitational race.
The boys’ team had their best finish at this invite, finishing 8th out of 19 scoring teams. Finishing in 5th place out of 179 runners and leading the pack with an outstanding performance was Alex Brummett, with a season best time of 16:52. Robby Muse-Myers, did not have one of his better races but still placed 28th for the morning in 17:57. Camren Toole placed 64th with a season best of 19:08, Rafe Crow 78th (19:28), and rounding out the scoring for the Tigers was Zachary West placing 81st with a season best of 19:32. Also running for the boys; Hunter Smith (83rd), Aaron Gommel (111th), Brady Hines (124th), Peyton Rex (145th), David Bradley (155th), Cade Ping (160th), and John Stillwell (173rd).
The girls’ team finished 12th out of 15 complete teams. Emerson Haines had an outstanding race placing 9th out of 114 runners in a time of 21:38. Katie Hasty fought through the race with pain in her feet to finish in 67th, Kate Stanley 90th, Riley Holland in 97th, and Jessica Fischer in 98th rounded out the scoring. Teresa Perez also finished for the Lady Tigers in 109th.
Competing in the reserve race for the boys’ team was Mason McWaters, Phillip Betts, Noah West, Kade Cooper, and Grant Patrick.
The Tigers will compete this Saturday in the Clinton Central Invitational.
