The Tigers XC teams traveled to Tri-West to run in a 4-way meet against Frankfort, Clinton Prairie, and Tri-West.
With three meets in a week and having a big invite on Saturday, we had a different strategy for our boys’ team going into the night. The top two boys’, Robby Muse-Myers and Alex Brummett, would hold back and run a easier pace for the first two miles and then at the last 1.1 they could run all out. They both were in the 13th and 14th position at the 2nd mile to come back and Robby Muse-Myers would take 3rd with a time of 17:39 and Alex Brummett 4th in a time of 17:47. Also scoring for the Tigers…Rafe Crow 13th, Hunter Smith 14th, and Brady Hines 19th. Finishing out the race was Aaron Gommel 24th, Johnny Moore 28th, Peyton Rex 33rd, Cade Ping 36th, John Stillwell 37th, David Bradley 38th, Grant Patrick 43rd, Mason McWaters 46th, Phillip Betts 47th, Noah West 48th, and Kade Cooper 49th. The Tigers placed 3rd for the night.
It was a rough night for the Lady Tigers. With two of the top 3 girls’ not running for the night the Lady Tigers placed 4th. Katie Hasty led the way and placed 3rd with a time of 21:51. Kate Stanley ran a good race placing 11th, Riley Holland 15th, Teresa Perez 21st, and Jessica Fischer 23rd.
The Tigers will compete Saturday in the Terre Haute Savings Bank State Preview Meet.
