TIGERS FALL TO TIGERS IN OPENER
Unfortunately it was not an intra-squad game as the Lebanon Tigers fell to the Fishers Tigers 2 â 0 Tuesday night at Memorial Park. It was the season opener for both teams as four Fishers pitchers combined to hold Lebanon to a lone hit on the night. That occurred in the 7th inning as Senior second baseman Cooper Farris lined a single to center off of Fishers hurler Taylor Soper.
Fishers Senior Ryan Metz was their starter and got the win with Roper pitching the 7th for the save. Lebanon Senior Grant Johnson took the loss, he went 4.1 innings allowing the two earned on five hits and four walks. He struck out two. He worked out of trouble all night as Lebanon committed five errors in the game. Junior Hadyn Parker came on in relief and finished the game allowing no runs on no hits and a pair of walks.
Lebanon next faces the Pike Red Devils on their field tonight at 5:30.
