The LHS girls varsity soccer team visited Sheridan and got a 1-1 result on the road. The Tigers opened up the scoring with an unassisted goal from freshman Madison Maher. Sheridan answered back not long after with a long distance strike that just beat the LHS keeper. The Tigers dictated play, particularly in the 2nd half, dominating possession and keeping most of the second half in the Sheridan defensive half. The Tigers out shot the Blackhawks by a substantial margin and were unlucky, striking the woodwork 3 times. Lily Haines lead the team with 6 shots followed by 4 by Madison Maher. Coach Hyatt thought the defense played solid the entire evening with Lizzie Hart leading a well-organized and disciplined backline. Coach Hyatt was also impressed with senior GK Erin Huse who came off her line intelligently a number of times and had good hands all evening. The LHS girls team will travel next to Pike Saturday morning beginning at 10 am.
