Meet Recap

The LHS Tigers Cross Country team traveled to South Montgomery High School to compete in the Sagamore Conference on Saturday. In very chilly & windy conditions the boys’ team placed 4th out of 8 teams with 91 points. Danville High School takes 1st with 55 points, Southmont 2nd (76), Crawfordsville 3rd (82), North Montgomery 5th (114), Frankfort 6th (114), Western Boone 7th (126), and Tri-West 8th (193).

The Varsity boys’ team was led by Nathan Wire placing 6th in a time of 17:41, to earn First Team All-Conference honors. Tommy Veerkamp placed 15th (18:41) and Robby Muse-Myers placed 19th (19:05), to receive Second Team All-Conference honors. Christian Knox returning from an injury ran a great race and placed 23rd (19:18), Alex Brummett 28th (19:44), Avery Harmon 46th (21:22), and finishing the scoring for the Varsity team was Gabe Kassab in 50th (22:14).

In the JV boys’ race Peyton Rex finished 3rd, Charlie Dickison 5th, Rafe Crow 12th, Nick Nelson 13th, and Grant Patrick 15th.

Congratulations to Nathan Wire for First Team All-Conference, and to Tommy Veerkamp and Robby Muse-Myers for Second Team All-Conference.

The Tigers will compete in the Noblesville Sectional this Saturday, October 10th.
