Tiger XC Travels to Clinton Central Invitational

The Tigers Cross Country teams traveled to Clinton Central on Saturday morning for their Invitational. The cross country format this year was a traditional 5k where in previous years they have raced a relay. The top 10 in each race were awarded medals and places 11-30 were awarded ribbons. There were 40 participants in the boy’s race and 44 in the girl’s race.

Tommy Veerkamp lead the boy’s team with a time of 17:29 and a 3rd place Medalist Finish. Robby Muse-Myers placed 12th, Kory Ohlemacher 19th, Nathan Wire 21st, and Jacob Roahrig 23rd, all were ribbon placements for the Tigers. Also running well were Connor Belcher 32nd and Noah West 34th.

Kate Stanley lead the girl’s team with a 19th place finish in a time of 24:20. Emily Merritt 27th and Charlotte Skillington 29th also placed in the ribbons. The Tiger girl’s pack ran close and well, finishing in 31st, 33rd, and 34th respectively were Ally Wire, Katelynn Johns, and Lian Ottinger.

The Tiger Cross Country teams will travel to Southmont High School for the Sagamore Conference meet on Satuday morning, October 4th.
